DC Kulgam participates in VBSY function at Devsar
Programme witnesses overwhelming public response
KULGAM, January 20: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today visited Devsar where he participated in ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ (VBSY) programme.
ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather; ADC, Viqar Ahmed Giri; ACD, BDO, Tehsildar, Executive Engineers and other officers and officials of line departments also attended the programme.
The programme also witnessed overwhelming public participation.
During the programme promotional videos were screened on an IEC van.
Benefits of the Health/Golden Card, which entitles beneficiaries to get the benefit in the need of hour and provides free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs 5 lakh per family and other schemes were also highlighted.
Stalls were also set up by various departments to aware the people about their schemes and programmes.
The DC also interacted with locals besides taking feedback from beneficiaries about implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in the area.
Addressing the occasion, the DC said that VBSY aims to provide a one-stop solution for people and beneficiaries for getting themselves enrolled and benefitted for different welfare schemes.
He added that the focus of the Yatra is to reach out to the people, creating awareness and providing benefits of different schemes.
The DC urged people present on the occasion to take maximum benefits from these schemes by registering themselves with the concerned departments during Viksit Bharat Sanaklp Yatra.
