DC Kulgam presides over at mega grievances redressal camp at Mohammad Pora

Sags Youth, Women to be provided market driven skill training to enable them to obtain employment

KULGAM, April 26:   Continuing the endeavors to reach out to the public at their doorsteps, in order to  ensure redressal of their issues without any delay and to listen to their demands,  the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited Mohammad pora area where he presided over at mega grievances redresal camp under Weekly block diwas initiative.

The programme witnessed overwhelming response from PRIs and general public and  civil society who  highlighted various developmental, public welfare  issues and grievances confronting their areas for early redressal.

SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal, ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR Imtiyaz up Aziz, JDP Zahid Sajjad, ACD Mohammad Imran Khan, ASP, Shabir Ahmad, GM DIC, Bashir Ahmad, other district and sectoral officers from various departments remained available.

While appraising the DC about their issues and developmental requirements,  people  demanded  establishment of Forest Depo, ITI College, Horticulture and Agriculture zone in Mohammad Pora besides Passenger shed near bus adda, bus service to Srinagar and Anantnag from Mohammad pora, development of playfield, Flood protection bund at Nalla near Jamai Masjid and flagged off other developmental issues of the area.

Officers from the concerned departments who were also present in the grievances redressal camp responded to the queries and issues raised by people.

The DC after gave patient hearing to all the issues raised during the proceedings  & addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on spot 

The issues which required to be redressed at higher level were also noted and directions were passed to concerned to take up others on priority basis.

Addressing the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that prompt redressal of public issues is top priority of administration and no issue will get unheard.

The DC also highlighted  the initiatives and steps taken for employability of youth through various employment generation schemes and urged youth to avail benefits of self employment schemes.

He also apprised the youth present in the camp that district Administration will impart skill development training in various trades to 3 to 5 youth including women in every panchayat.

While responding to the demands of people, DC instructed concerned staff to start work on Passenger shed, flood protection bund near eidgah and also announced Rs,10 lac for establishment of Competitive Examination library in the area.

DC was also  instructed to conduct a survey of springs and water bodies for their  rejuvenation and restoration.

Grievances redressal camp was also held in D.H.Pora where SDM presided the camp.
