DC Kulgam reviews functioning of Revenue department
KULGAM, JANUARY 12: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a meeting of officers to review the functioning of the Revenue Department.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on various revenue matters and progress made in removal of encroachments, status of updation of revenue records, disposal of complaints, establishment of record room and other revenue related matters were discussed and reviewed.
At the outset, ACR through a PowerPoint presentation briefed the chair about the number of revenue offices functioning in the district and staff positions in the department.
He also informed the chair that scanning and digitization progress of jamabandis have been completed in the district.
It was also informed that 9737 Kanals of state land and 16252 kanals of encroached Kahcharai land were retrieved.
The chair was also informed that under the SVAMITVA scheme a Drone survey was conducted and completed.
Sub Registrar/SDM Noorabad informed the chair that 1048 registrations were done during the year 2023 and revenue of 3.80 crore was realized from these registration deeds.
The DC impressed upon the revenue officers to focus on quality disposal of grievances.mHe also instructed Tehsildars to expedite the certification process of digitization.
During the meeting, the DC instructed to ensure quality and speedy disposal of revenue court cases.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz; SDM, Bashir Ul Hassan; Tehsildars and other officers.
