DC & Labour Comm lead joint effort to expedite Ration Card Issuance for e-Shram Registrants at Kupwara
KUPWARA, AUGUST 13: In a joint meeting held today at Kupwara, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ayushi Sudan and Labour Commissioner, S Charandeep Singh, reviewed the progress of providing ration cards to all eligible e-Shram registrants.
The meeting, which brought together the Labour & Employment Department and the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, focused on ensuring that no eligible registrant is left out.
The DC emphasized the need for concerned officers to actively reach out to all eligible e-Shram registrants and expedite the issuance of ration cards to those who have yet to receive them. She directed officials to take the help of Numberdars, Ex-PRIs, and AWWs to visit registrants’ homes and complete the process within two days.
Labour Commissioner J&K highlighted the Supreme Court of India’s directive for State/UT Governments to issue ration cards to left-out registrants of the e-Shram Portal. He called for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to achieve the goal in the shortest possible time.
He also urged e-Shram registrants without ration cards to contact their nearest Tehsil Supply Offices (TSOs) to ensure prompt issuance.
The left out e-Shram registrants have been requested to bring the requisite documents viz. Aadhaar card, Domicile certificate, Income proof and e-Shram card along with them for on the spot issuance of ration cards in their favour by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
Furthermore, all the e-Shram registrants who have not completed their eKYC with the Department have also been requested to complete the same on urgent basis.
