DC Leh conducts onsite visit to Jive-Tsal ahead of His Holiness Dalai Lama’s visit to Leh

Leh, July 4:  Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse today conducted an onsite visit to Jive-tsal Shey to assess the preparedness and review the arrangements for the spiritual leader’s forthcoming visit and teaching.

He was accompanied by civil society members including President, Ladakh Buddhist Association, Leh; President All Ladakh Gonpa Association, Leh;  CRO, Sonamling Tibetan Settlement, Choglamsar; President, LBA, Youth Wing, Leh and Representative of Photang Gapheling.

Accompanied by a team of officials from various departments, DC,Leh, Shrikant Suse inspected the facilities and infrastructure at Jive-tsal Shey.

The objective of the visit was to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place well in advance.

Detailed discussions were held regarding the arrangements for the public gathering, traffic management, medical facilities, security arrangements and reception at the airport.

Recognizing the significance of the Dalai Lama’s visit, DC, Leh, Shrikant emphasized the need for close coordination among all concerned departments to ensure a successful and memorable visit for the spiritual leader. He instructed the officials to complete tasks related to the visit before  July 7.
