DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chairs review meeting ahead of Independence Day celebrations

LEH, July 25: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Leh/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhdev chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for the 76th Independence Day- 2023 celebrations at DC Conference Hall.

Stressing on the importance of the celebration DC instructed them to ensure that all arrangements are made in advance for smooth conduct of the celebration.

He also directed the CEO and Cultural Academy to finalise cultural items that is to be performed during the event. Emphasising the importance of timely preparedness, he further directed the officers to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time.

Additionally, he directed the police to make fool-proof security arrangements to ensure hassle-free celebrations at the venue by formulating deployment plans well in advance.

Earlier ADC and officers from concerned departments apprised DC on the security arrangements, traffic, illumination of offices, PAS, provision of Power and water at function venues, sanitation, medicare facilities, contingents, cultural activities, and the concerned officers were given instructions regarding the related arrangements to be made for smooth conduct of National event. It was decided that the contingents of Leh Police, Army, CRPF, ITBP, Lady Contingents, school students shall participate in the march past with the band.

The meeting was attended by SP Leh; SP Traffic; ADDC; ARC; CPO; CMO; CAHO;  DRC; CEO; Deputy secretary, Culture Academy; Deputy Director, District Motor Garages; Assistant Labour Commissioner; AD, FCS&CA; AD, DIPR; EO, MC Leh; Accounts Officer, SE PDD; R&B; DYSSO; representatives of the Army, Air Force, CRPF, ITBP, PHE and others.
