DC Poonch chairs DLC meeting on HADP, approves 58 Cases for Agricultural Development

Emphasises speedy implementation of initiatives under Holistic Agriculture Development Program

POONCH, NOVEMBER 22: In a significant stride towards advancing agricultural development in the region, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary today chaired a District Level Committee (DLC) meeting on the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) in the conference hall of the DC Office.

The meeting was attended by  Additional District Development Commissioner, Sandesh Kumar Sharma; General Manager DIC, Dr. Mohd.Tanwir; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi; Divisional Forest Officer(S), Naveed Iqbal; Chief Agriculture Officer, Rakesh Kumar; Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Kumar; Deputy Registrar Cooperative/District Information Officer, Vishal Deep Chandan; LDM, Ashutosh Koul Pal; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Younis; AGMO, Charankamal Singh; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Ashish Mahajan; District Sericulture Officer, Jatinder Krishadar; Assistant Floriculture Officer, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar; District Incharge NABARD, N Chander, along with other concerned officers.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner received an update on the progress made in implementing the components of HADP across the district by the Agriculture and allied departments.

Furthermore, a draw-of-lot was conducted to select the applications received for benefits under different components, specifically in relation to the Sheep Husbandry Department, while adhering to the criteria set by other Line departments under HADP.

The committee approved a total of 58 applications, including 25    under the Animal Husbandry sector, 20 applications of Sheep Husbandry sector, 10 for Horticulture, and 03 for Horticulture Planning & Marketing sector under different projects/components, respectively.

While granting approval to the applications, the Deputy Commissioner urged all sectoral officers from the Agriculture and allied departments to expedite the completion of assigned targets under the HADP in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner called upon stakeholder departments to work closely together to implement various initiatives at the district level.He directed officials to disseminate information about the latest agricultural technologies to farmers residing in remote areas and ensure their access to these advancements.
