DC Poonch discusses modalities for Rollout of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan
POONCH, APRIL 17: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review and finalize the arrangements for smooth rollout of Farmers Orientation Programme (Kisan Sampark Abhiyan) under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), here in the conference hall of the DC office complex.
The meeting was attended by General Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain; Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Naheem Un Nissa Bhatti; Chief Horticulture Officer, Sandeep Kumar; Chief Agriculture Officer, Rakesh Kumar; District Information Officer/ Deputy Registrar Cooperative, Vishaldeep Chandan; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Ashish Mahajan; DNO ( HADP),BDO Bufliaz, Mohd Ibrahim; BDO Poonch, Ajaz Bhut; BDO Sathra, Sanjay Kapoor and Dr. Ajay Gupta from KVK besides officers from agriculture and allied departments.
The Chief Horticulture Officer apprised the chair regarding arrangement to be put in place for the successful conduct of Farmers Orientation Programme under the HADP scheduled from 24th April to 31st of August 2023.
It was given out in the meeting that a 3 day awareness camp shall be organized in each Panchayat every week across the District as to sensitize the farmers with opportunities offered under different projects of HADP and different schemes of Agriculture and allied Sectors.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized upon the sectoral officers of Agriculture and allied departments, besides District information Officer and DNO (HADP) to give wide publicity to the abhiyan so that the mass participation of the farmer community can be assured.
The DC said the aim of HADP is to push agriculture and allied sectors to a new era of growth while pursuing new measures like GI tagging of the exotic products, integrated farming, natural farming etc.
He urged the department to promote the signature products of the district like Pecannut, Rajma, Maize, Walnut etc besides generating awareness about the schemes of self employment that have been in corporate in HADP to overcome the prevailing constraints and use different method to motivate the farmers community in adoption of proposed interventions in the approved Projects.
DC directed that BDO’s shall nominate Nodal Officer for capturing the programme events and uploading of the events (Photographs/short videos) on AKAM PORTAL.
