DC Poonch inaugurates Shilaphallakam, interacts with students, felicitates families of martyrs

Inspects Ayush Health and Wellness Centre in Panchayat Jhullas Lower

POONCH, August 10: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary today visited Panchayat Jhullas Lower, where he inaugurated the newly constructed Shilaphallakam in the premises of local Panchayat Ghar.

Panch Pran Pledge ceremony was held across district under “Mitti ko Naman Verron ka Vandan” to Pay Tribute to Martyrs, Including, Fagla, Lassana Upper, Serichowana, Kalai, and More Witnessed Commemorative Events

The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner Poonch, Abid Hussain Shah, DPO Poonch, Chanderkant Bhagat, BDOs Poonch, Pyt Jhulaas, Akansha Gupta and Dr. Benazir Youseef from Ayush Health and Wellness Centre Jhulaas besides sarpanch, Panch, and locals of their area.

Under the campaign “Meri Mati Mera Desh,” Deputy Commissioner actively interacted with students, fostering a sense of patriotism among them. The event commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a heartfelt tribute to the families of the bereaved martyrs.

During the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner took the Panch Pran Pledge while holding a handful of mitti symbolizing the connection between the land and the well-being of the nation.

Furthermore, he planted a sapling, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.

In addition to inaugurating the Shilaphallakam, Deputy Commissioner Choudhary also inspected the Ayush Health and Wellness Centre Jhulaas. Dr. Benazir Youseef, shared insights about the center’s initiatives and its positive impact on the health of the local residents.
