DC Poonch reviews arrangements for Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023
POONCH, July 11: Deputy Commissioner, Yasin M. Choudhary today reviewed the preparations for the annual Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 here at a meeting of different departments.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, CEO Poonch Dev.Authority, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah, SDM Mendhar Mohd.Jahangir Khan, SDM Surankote, Rizwan Asgar, Tehsildar Hqr. Jhangir Hussain, Tehsildar Mandi, Shazad Latief Khan, Tehsildar Mendhar, Rahul Baskotra, Tehsildar Surankote, Mohd.Akbar, ARTO holding the addition charge of DIO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, P.A Khan beside all concerned officers were present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed various arrangements, including the provision of langar, food stalls, accommodation, toilet facilities, traffic management, fire emergency measures, medical facilities, generator set, bathing ghat, illumination of Mandir, CCTV camera for different locations, solar light for Mandi Market, and vehicle parking.
During the meeting, the DC directed the concerned Yatra officer and CEO Municipality to arrange existing toilets in Mandi for devotees and also directed JPDCL to provide Genset for regular power Supply at the Shrine. The meeting was informed that the army will arrange toilet facilities in BG for the yatris.
The ACR and ARTO were asked to work out a plan for installation of CCTV cameras on the locations recommended by the SSP Poonch.
The DC stressed the importance of ensuring adequate lighting and other amenities for the yatris. The ACD was specifically directed to install solar lights in Mandi Market to facilitate easy movement of the devotees during the pilgrimage.
The District Information Officer was directed to install a public address system in Poonch College ground and Budha Amarnath Mandir Mandi during the yatra.
For the evening breakfast at Dundhak Mandir, the DC directed the concerned officers to manage the traffic, road, vehicle parking, and other arrangements in advance to ensure that devotees do not face any difficulties during their stay at Dundhak Mandir.
