DC Poonch reviews functioning of Revenue Department
Asks field officers to use digital platform for provisioning of revenue services to public at their doorsteps
POONCH, May 03: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary today chaired an introductory meeting with the revenue officers/officials of the district here in the conference hall of the DC office.
The meeting was first with any department after the incumbent joined office as Deputy Commissioner Poonch.
The meeting held threadbare deliberations and DC was apprised about various Revenue related matters including recording of Jamabandies, progress under SVAMITVA, digitization of revenue records, Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani, Evacuee properties, digitization of cadastral maps, DILRMP and various other revenue related issues.
At the outset, the chair was given a detailed account of different Revenue related indicators of the district through a powerPoint presentation.
The chair was told that the department has achieved 100% saturation with respect to Scanning of Revenue records, generation of land passbooks and Jamabandis. The Deputy Commissioner expressed his satisfaction over the achievements. Furthermore, he instructed the department to achieve the remaining targets well within the stipulated time frame.
The availability of buildings/infrastructure, field staff and the status of ongoing construction of revenue buildings in the district were also discussed.
The DC directed revenue officials and field staff to ensure efficient, prompt and hassle free revenue services to the general public as LG government is committed towards creating a transparent, hassle free and efficient service delivery infrastructure in the UT of J&K. Yasin M. Choudhary stressed upon officials to avoid providing designated e-services offline to reduce the hardships of the populace living in remote areas.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zahir Ahmed Kaifi, SDM Mendhar, Jahangir Khan, Head qtr. Assistant, Jahangir Hussain, Tehsildar Haveli, Anjum Bashir Khattak, Tehsildar Mendhar, Tehsildar Mandi, Tehsildar Balakote, Tehsildar Mankote, besides Naib Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
