DC Poonch reviews preparations for Vigilance Week

POONCH, OCTOBER 25: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal convened a meeting here today to finalize preparations for the observance of Vigilance Week, scheduled from October 28 to November 3, 2024. The meeting took place in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex Poonch.


During the session, various programs and activities aimed at promoting transparency, ethics, and accountability in the district were discussed. Key topics included the urgent need to combat corruption, encourage active stakeholder participation, and ensure timely grievance redressal.


To kick off Vigilance Week, a special pledge against corruption will be taken on October 28. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of educational initiatives, including rallies and essay competitions, and directed all departments to organize special programs throughout the week.


Additionally, social media coverage and bulk SMS campaigns will form part of the awareness strategy, complemented by the design of special banners for the event. Workshops and other activities will be conducted to engage the public effectively.


Emphasizing the use of the JK Samadhan portal for grievance redressal, the Deputy Commissioner urged all stakeholders to actively participate in the upcoming events to foster a culture of integrity in the district.
