DC presides over the Outreach Program in remote Chamalwas


RAMBAN, JULY 24: The District Administration, Ramban, today organized Block Diwas programs at 7 locations across the district, aiming to bring governance closer to the people.


The programs were held at High School Perhinder for Block Ramsoo and Ukhral; Chamalwas (Near Health and Wellness Centre) for Block Banihal and Khari; Block Headquarter Gandhri; Chanderkote (Opposite Naib Tehsildar office) for Block Ramban; Block Headquarter Batote; Block Headquarter Rajgarh; and SDM Office Gool for Block Sangaldan, Gool, and Gundi-Dharam.


Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, along with ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, SDM Banihal Rizwan Asgar, CPO Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, ACD Srinath Suman, ACP Ashfaq Khanji and other district officers presided over the program at remote village Chamalwas where he interacted with the public, listened to their grievances, and assured timely redressal.


People from adjoining villages of various panchayats, including Chamalwas Lower A & B, Chaknarwah, Thachi, Zanchous, Kralchihal, Chaknarwah, Halla Wagan, Amkoot, Libra, Aara, Batdar, and Mamna, highlighted their issues of public interest across departments.
The Deputy Commissioner passed on-the-spot directions to concerned officers to resolve all genuine issues on a priority basis.
Responding to issues, the DC asked locals to provide land in consultation with the concerned SDM and Tehsildars for the construction of a Veterinary Centre, Playground, and Completion of road projects and other public utility infrastructure required in the areas.


The ZEO was directed to take necessary action on relevant school issues. Ex Ens of JPDCL, PWD, and PMGSY were directed to focus on the augmentation of road and power infrastructure in the areas.
The CMO was directed to deploy a doctor at the Health Centre Chambalwas once in a week for the convenience of the public. The BMO was directed to organize health camps in inaccessible areas to provide health services to people.


Directions were also passed on demands such as roads for Gujjar Basti, upgradation of school and power infrastructure, and playgrounds. He also directed to start a centre under the skill development program in Shabanwas.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also launched a plantation drive by planting saplings at Chambalwas.
En-route, the Deputy Commissioner also visited various villages, including Rattanwas and Wagan to listen their issues.
