PULWAMA, JANUARY 18: A comprehensive review of the Revenue Department was conducted today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom.
The meeting besides spotlighting noteworthy achievements also charted a refined course for sustained excellence in the Revenue Department.
At the outset, Assistant Commissioner Revenue provided a comprehensive overview of the District, highlighting substantial progress across multiple parameters. The review particularly emphasized the successful completion of 100% digitization of Jamabandis in the District. However, DC underscored the importance of quality checks within set timelines to ensure accuracy.
In the pursuit of enhancing digital infrastructure, the meeting delved into the digitization of Massavies, emphasizing its strategic importance. DC stressed the need for meticulous monitoring and timely completion of this initiative.
DC, during the review of Online Revenue services, emphasized the importance of maintaining a seamless process without unwarranted reverting or rejection, insisting on valid reasons and justifications for any such actions. Additionally, he highlighted the imperative of strictly implementing domestication of revenue language to enhance accessibility and understanding. He further underscored the adherence to PSGA timelines to streamline processes.

Recognizing the importance of consistent oversight, DC directed Additional Deputy Commissioners to conduct fortnightly reviews of their respective subdivisions. This directive aims to ensure proactive monitoring and effective resolution of any emerging challenges.
