DC Rajouri conducts surprise inspections to oversee Nasha Mukht Abhiyan Activities in Schools

RAJOURI, APRIL 7: In a continued effort to intensify the fight against drug abuse, Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today conducted surprise inspections at Government Higher Secondary School Dodasan Bala and Government Higher Secondary School Saaj to oversee the ongoing activities under the Nasha Mukht Abhiyan.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with staff and students, emphasizing the critical need to create widespread awareness among youth regarding the ill effects of drug abuse. He urged educational institutions to play a proactive role in sensitizing students and involving them as ambassadors of change in the community.

“Students are the backbone of our future, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they grow in a safe and drug-free environment,” he said while encouraging teachers to engage students through rallies, debates, skits, and awareness sessions.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Development Rajouri, Vijay Kumar Verma visited Government High School Gurdhan Bala and took stock of the awareness activities being conducted under the campaign.

Similarly, Additional Deputy Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Magistrates visited various educational institutions and public locations across the district to monitor the progress and ensure effective implementation of the Nasha Mukht Abhiyan.

The district administration has adopted a multi-pronged approach to tackle the issue of drug abuse, with special focus on awareness generation, community involvement, and educational outreach.
