DC Rajouri flags off CCI Parisha Girls for Picnic under Mission Vatsalya
RAJOURI, JANUARY 27: In a significant initiative under the Mission Vatsalya scheme of the Department of Social Welfare, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today flagged off a special picnic for 30 girls from CCI Parisha. The outing aimed to provide the children with a much-needed recreational break while enriching their social and cultural experiences.
The picnic was sent to the scenic and revered destination of Shahadara Sharief, offering the participants a day filled with joy, learning, and exploration. Accompanying the girls were staff members of CCI Parisha, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner lauded the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Abdul Raheem and the Social Welfare Department for organizing the event.
“Such initiatives are essential for creating a nurturing environment for children in CCIs, helping them experience life beyond institutional care. I commend DCPO Abdul Raheem and his team for their dedication to the well-being and holistic development of these children,” he stated.
