DC Rajouri holds Public Outreach Camp in Thandikassi area
Addresses wide range of issues projected by PRIs, locals
RAJOURI, November 08: Demonstrating a proactive and community-centered approach to address public concerns, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, today chaired a highly impactful public outreach camp in the Thandikassi area of Panjgrain block.
The event facilitated a constructive dialogue where both the public and their representatives discussed a wide range of issues, including the pressing need for road repairs, the upgradation and adequate staffing of government institutions, addressing water scarcity, and bolstering healthcare infrastructure, among other crucial topics.
Specific demands voiced during the event included the construction of a road from the main road to HS Thandikassi, the upgradation of HS Thandikassi, the need for a boundary wall for HS Thandikassi, the construction of roads from Chawa to Broh and Thandikassi to Chapper Galla, and addressing the water scarcity issue in Padder.
Government officers utilized this opportunity to inform the public about various schemes and programs aimed at improving the community’s well-being, encouraging active participation and the utilization of available benefits.
The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration to delivering quality essential services directly to the people. He expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in achieving government objectives and encouraged them to continue their hard work for the common good.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal assured the public that their grievances and concerns had been carefully documented and would be addressed through a staged approach, with concerned departments playing a crucial role in resolving these issues.
During the public outreach camp, the locals also expressed appreciation for the commendable efforts of the district administration in implementing schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission, recognizing the significant impact and positive changes brought about by these initiatives.
The Deputy Commissioner promptly addressed the road connectivity issue from the main road to the high school, instructing the concerned officer to expedite its resolution.
In addressing the pressing issue of staff shortages in schools, the Deputy Commissioner has issued a directive to the CEO of the Education Department, emphasizing the need for a systematic staff rationalization to meet the growing demands.
In response to the concerns raised about the shortage of electricity poles, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal assured the public that an ample number of poles would be provided under the RDSS scheme of the power sector. This commitment underscores the resolve of the administration to address critical infrastructure needs and ensure reliable electricity supply for the well-being of the community.
The Deputy Commissioner not only reassured the public but also reaffirmed that delivering piped water connections to every household in the district is the paramount focus of the administration through the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). He emphasised that the administration is relentlessly working towards making every possible effort to achieve this vital objective.
He emphasized that a multitude of vital projects are actively underway in the border block of Panjgrain, showcasing the unwavering dedication of the administration to the development and progress of this strategic region.
The Deputy Commissioner also actively sought feedback regarding the implementation of various government schemes in the area, displaying a strong commitment to ensuring the efficient execution of these programs for the benefit of the community.
