DC Rajouri inspects progress of work on circular road
RAJOURI, January 20: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today inspected the progress of work on Circular road, the work on which is being executed by the PWD(R&B).
During the inspection, the DC was informed that the circular road is set to become an important alternate link within the town connecting New bridge to Tariq bridge, thereby reducing the overall distance by around 4-5 kilometers. The estimated cost of the road is Rs 1.32 crore.
During the visit, the DC also discussed the issues hampering the execution of work and asked the Department and concerned stakeholders to amicably resolve the bottlenecks at the earliest as the road is being constructed for the betterment of the general public.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the ExEn PWD (R&B) to expedite the progress and ensure that the work on the road is completed within the shortest possible time to provide benefits of connectivity to the general public with the completion of the project.
He also asked for regular monitoring of the progress on the project with special focus on the quality of work.
Officers accompanying the DC during the visit were Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; SE PWD(R&B), Kamal Kishore; ExEn PWD (R&B) Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain and other concerned officers.
