DC Rajouri reviews availability of basic facilities in schools, AWCs
RAJOURI, June 19: The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting with officers from the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and Education Department to discuss the availability of functional drinking water and toilet facilities in schools and anganwadi centers across the district.
The DC stressed the need for proactive measures to be taken to ensure that functional drinking water and toilet facilities are available in all schools and anganwadi centers. He directed the officials to conduct regular inspections of these facilities and take necessary steps to address any issues or deficiencies.
The officers from the ICDS and Education Department assured the DC that they would take immediate action to address any issues related to drinking water and toilet facilities in schools and anganwadi centers.
The DC said that providing functional drinking water and toilet facilities in schools and anganwadi centers are the basic necessities of the students and staff. He urged the officials to work together to ensure that these facilities are available in all schools and anganwadi centers across the district.
The meeting ended with a commitment from all officials to prioritize the availability of functional drinking water and toilet facilities in schools and anganwadi centers, and to take all necessary steps to ensure that these facilities are maintained and improved in the future.
The meeting was attended by District Programme Officer Rajouri, Shoket Mehmood Malik; Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; District Social Welfare Officer, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; Child Development Project Officers and Zonal Education Officers.
