DC Rajouri reviews formulation of Skill Development Plan

RAJOURI, JULY 11: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired a meeting to deliberate on formulation of a comprehensive Skill Development Plan for the financial year 2024-25.


The DC stressed the need for formulating an effective plan that addresses the specific needs of the youth of the district aligning with the market demands and bridging the existing skill gap. He emphasized the importance of identifying the target audience, assessing their skill levels, and designing tailored programs to equip them with relevant skills.


Addressing the committee members, DC emphasized the abundant opportunities available for individuals possessing skills in the current job market. He underscored that the pressing need of the hour is to inspire the unemployed, educated youth of the district to embark on a journey of skill acquisition.


In a comprehensive overview of the measures initiated by District Administration to bolster youth skill development, the DC directed the officers to take proactive steps for training of maximum number of unemployed youth under various skill development courses. The DC directed the officers to submit the requisite data for finalisation of the plan within one week, ensuring timely completion and implementation of the skill development initiatives.
