DC Rajouri reviews functioning of Revenue Department

Calls for efficient delivery of public services

RAJOURI, July 27: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today took a comprehensive review of the functioning of Revenue Department here at a meeting.

The DC discussed important issues related to delivery of public service and time bound grievances redressal.  He emphasized the importance of implementing the e-office working system at the Tehsil level and directed officials to ensure the implementation of CLU rules in letter and spirit.

The DC reviewed the Geo-tagging of digitized cadastral maps and directed officials to expedite the process for effective land management and planning. A threadbare discussion was also held on the pendency of High Court cases.

The meeting also focused on progress made in the agricultural census, which is critical for better understanding of the needs of the farming community. The DC directed officials to ensure that the data is digitized and made available to the public.

Furthermore, the DC directed the Tehsildars to hold regular meetings with the Chowkidars and Lambardars in their respective Tehsils to ensure better coordination between Revenue officers and local stakeholders, which will help resolve issues at the grassroots level.

Overall, the meeting was a significant step towards ensuring efficient public service and prompt grievance redressal in the Revenue Department. The DC emphasized on accessibility, accountability and better public services to improve the lives of the people of Rajouri.
