DC Rajouri reviews functioning of Social Welfare, ICDS Departments
RAJOURI, January 09: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today took a comprehensive review of the working of ICDS and Social Welfare Department, here in a meeting of the concerned officers.
The meeting was attended by the PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt and Child Development Project Officers.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of aadhar Seeding of 0-6 age group, introduction of ECE in Anganwadi Centres, Anaemia Mukt Bharat, PMMVY, geo-tagging of anganwadi centres, pension schemes, scholarship schemes etc.
While taking stock of the progress under PMMVY, it was informed that against the target of enrollment of 3272 beneficiaries, 2709 beneficiaries have been enrolled under the scheme.
Regarding the introduction of “Nanhe Kadam” ECE curriculum, the meeting was apprised that the same has been fully introduced in all Anganwadi Centres.
While taking note of the measures being taken to eradicate anaemia in the district, he asked the concerned officers to make dedicated efforts to make Rajouri an anaemia free district.
Taking stock of the progress under registration of the ICDS beneficiaries between 0-6 years under Adhar, the DC stressed on meeting the target at the earliest.
While taking note of the progress achieved under pension schemes, it was informed that 28000 beneficiaries have got themselves registered under the new pension guidelines. The meeting was further informed that 8700 Unique Disability IDs have been generated in the district so far.
The DC also reviewed the progress under the developmental works being carried out under PMAGY and SCA to SCSP. He asked the concerned officers to ensure that the works being carried out under these schemes are completed at the earliest so that necessary benefits are provided to the targeted population.
Similarly, the DC also took a detailed review of other schemes and programs of the Social Welfare department like PMGAY, SMAS, scholarship schemes etc.
Addressing the officers in the meeting, the DC asked the concerned officer from the Social Welfare Department to educate the public about various individual oriented benefits schemes and ensure their maximum coverage under the same.
The DC also asked the CDPOs to work with dedication as they are shouldering an important responsibility to take care of children, who are the future of the nation.
