DC Rajouri reviews implementation of Deen Dayal Antyodaya National Rural livelihood Mission
RAJOURI, JUNE 17: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of Deen Dayal Antyodaya National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) in the district.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; District Officer NRLM, Javed Ul Sofi, and Block Program Managers.
During the meeting, it was informed that NRLM has four components which include social mobilization, community institutions and capacity building, financial inclusion, and livelihood promotion and convergence. It was also informed that 09 blocks of the district out of 19 have been covered under NRLM, 4741 SHGs have been formed till date with 31563 members.
The participants had a threadbare discussion on the future action plan for the formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs), SHG bank linkages, financial inclusion, and livelihood activities.
The DC emphasized the importance of collaboration among the SHGs to diversify their livelihood activities and improve their income. He also directed the officers to provide assistance to the SHGs in channelizing their efforts towards creating successful businesses.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the officers to ensure that the NRLM program benefits the targeted population. He also urged them to work in synergy to achieve the desired goals of NRLM.
