DC Rajouri reviews performance of Animal & Sheep Husbandry Department
RAJOURI, December 19: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Monday reviewed the performance of the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department here at a meeting of the concerned officers.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of the physical and financial achievements under various schemes and programs being implemented by the department including ISDS, Tribal Sub Scheme, IDDS, IPDP, artificial insemination etc.
Taking stock of the implementation of integrated sheep development scheme (ISDS), the meeting was informed that against the target of setting up 142 sheep and goat units, 102 units have been set up till date.
Similarly, under Tribal Sub scheme, the as many as 36 units have been established against the target of setting up 72 sheep and goat units.
It was further apprised that presently there are two milk villages in the district including one at Leera and another at Androoth. In addition to it, two more milk villages have been approved for the district including Lamberi and Kandi.
The DC also took stock of the other schemes of the department and asked the officers to achieve the targets in set timelines.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to educate the public about the self employment generation schemes and programs being implemented by the department in the district and motivate them to avail the necessary benefits of the same.
The meeting also held detailed discussion on deliverable targets of the department and the DC asked the concerned officers to take proactive measures to accomplish the targets within set timelines.
He stressed upon prioritizing, planning and executing the given deliverables to bring a visible change in their functioning and services delivery.
