DC Rajouri visits Polling Stations to inspect ongoing Special Summary Revision

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 03: In a proactive move to uphold the integrity of the electoral process, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat today conducted a comprehensive inspection of multiple polling stations, including Rajal-A, Bagnoti, Lamberi Lower, and Bakhar.

The visit aimed to oversee the ongoing special summary revision, aimed at refining the electoral rolls and ensuring a fair and transparent electoral system.

During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the paramount importance of accurate voter enrollment. He directed the officers involved to meticulously scrutinize and verify the eligibility of individuals to ensure their inclusion in the voter list. Stressing the significance of this special summary revision, he underscored that every eligible person should be enrolled as a voter, leaving no room for oversight or exclusion.

One of the key directives issued by Deputy Commissioner was the meticulous alignment of the panchayat and assembly electoral rolls. He emphasized that any variations should be rectified promptly to maintain the consistency and accuracy of the electoral database. The directive is crucial in fostering a robust electoral framework that reflects the true representation of the electorate in Rajouri.

Deputy Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the District Administration to uphold the democratic values of free and fair elections. He highlighted the proactive measures taken to ensure that the electoral process remains transparent, inclusive, and accessible to all eligible voters.
