DC Rajouri visits village Dalogra; plants sapling as a part of “Ek Paed Shaheedon ke Naam” Campaign

RAJOURI, AUGUST 02: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today visited village Dalogra and paid tributes to Martyr Bipin Kumar, son of late Jagat Ram and Pritam Kour, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation on July 3, 2001 while fighting with the militants in Kishtwar. He was a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police (SOG).


During the visit to the Martyr’s residence, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the family members, offered condolences to the family and paid tributes to the Martyr.

He acknowledged the supreme sacrifice made by the Martyr and assured the family of all possible support from the district administration.


To perpetuate the memory of Martyr Bipin Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner assured the construction of a memorial (Samarak) in his honor, to serve as a reminder of his sacrifice & bravery. It was also decided to rename of the road leading to their house by the name the Martyr, to immortalize his name and legacy.


The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the commitment of district administration to support the families of Martyrs and ensuring their welfare. As a part of the ” Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” campaign, he also planted a guava sapling in memory of the Martyr, symbolizing the enduring legacy of his sacrifice.


Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar; Block Development Officer Dhangri and Block Development Officer Doongi accompanied the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri during his visit.
