DC Ramban addresses public grievances at Block Diwas program
RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 19: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today chaired a mega public outreach programme here under the aegis of Continuing Block Diwas to listen to public grievances and ensure timely redressal of the same.

The event witnessed the participation of PO ICDS Zahngir Hashmi; ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACR S. Harpal Singh; CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Zargar; ACP Mohd. Ashfaq; GM DIC Ravinder Anand and other b officers.
The Deputy Commissioner addressed over a hundred grievances projected by the people by issuing on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers for immediate action. Public concerns ranged from issues related to road connectivity, power and water supply, healthcare services, education infrastructure, and welfare schemes.
The DC also sought action-taken reports from officials to ensure that grievances were addressed in a time-bound manner. Furthermore, the DC assured the public that the administration is committed to strengthen services delivery and improve civic amenities, reinforcing a citizen-centric governance approach.
Taking note of infrastructure concerns, the Deputy Commissioner directed the ACR, Executive Engineer PWD to visit the ITI construction site and explore possibilities for road connectivity to the location. The DC also instructed concerned departments to expedite pending works and complete all necessary clearances for the speedy execution of the project.
Additionally, he instructed the PWD and PMGSY departments to ensure prior permissions regarding land availability before initiating DPR for road projects under NABARD and other government schemes, ensuring hassle-free execution. He stressed the importance of avoiding delays due to land disputes or administrative bottlenecks and directed officers to work in coordination with local stakeholders for smooth project implementation.
The Deputy Commissioner encouraged citizens to actively participate in governance by voicing their concerns through platforms like Block Diwas, ensuring a transparent and accountable administrative process. Various Stalls were also set up by the department.
