DC Ramban chairs maiden meeting with District Officers

Seeks focus on effective public services delivery

 RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 03: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today chaired an introductory meeting with district officers here in the Conference Hall.

 Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Sharma, ADDC, Rajinder Sharma, ADC Harbans Sharma, ACR, SDMs, Tehsildars and other District Officers attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to focus on an effective public service delivery system to redress grievances of the general masses, especially basic issues of deprived sections of the society on priority basis.

The Deputy Commissioner said that UT administration has issued a clear direction to all the Departments to focus on communication with the public and improve public welfare in all respects.

The Revenue Officers including SDMs and Tehsildars were asked to regulate the working of the line department in their respective jurisdictions.

Stress was laid on prompt response to public issues at all levels leaving no room for any complaint in terms of power and water supply   besides traffic regulation on NH-44. 

Meanwhile, the SSP appraised the DC about law and order and general security scenario in the district and the action taken by the police department in this regard.

The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the Ramban police for taking swift action against drug paddlers and other criminals to bring down crime rate in the district.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the premises of the District Administrative Complex. He passed on the spot direction to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in and around the offices. He directed   ADC to ensure proper management of parking space by separating officers’ parking and general parking. He also directed the ACD to develop the spring situated in DAC premises as an Amrit Sarovar.
