DC Ramban chairs meeting of District Level Committee for implementation of PMMSY

RAMBAN, OCTOBER 12: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Musaraat Islam chaired the District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC) meeting at the DC Office Complex, Ramban in order to discuss and assess the operations of Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) within the district & to discuss in detail the formation of viable one PACS per panchayat.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were conducted covering several key aspects, including the adoption status of model bye-laws by all 13 PACS of the district & the project of Computerization of PACS.
The meeting also addressed district-wise targets for establishing new dairy and fisheries Cooperative Societies, the PMKSK initiative, the formulation of Farmers’ Producer Organizations (FPOs) by PACS, identification of PACS for convergence with the PM-KUSUM scheme, utilizing PACS as Common Service Centers, and establishing Jan Aushadi Kendras to improve access to generic medicines at the rural level.
The Deputy Commissioner issued essential directives to relevant departments emphasizing the need for close coordination to revitalize the PACS in the district. He urged these departments to expedite the development of an action plan & work in collaboration for achieving all the targets within stipulated time.
Meanwhile, in the District Level Committee for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), the Deputy Commissioner also approved three cases including 2 for trout fish farms and one for Kiosk for the district.
Notable attendees at the meeting included Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Kumar Sharma, ADC, Harbans Sharma, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Ramban, CMO, CAO, CAHO, AD fisheries, DDM, NABARD and representatives from allied departments.
