DC Ramban directs Revenue Department to ensure efficient public services
RAMBAN, JANUARY 9: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today chaired a crucial meeting in his office chamber, to assess the Revenue Department’s performance.
Senior officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Harbans Lal, ACR Giasul-Haq, SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and other officials, actively participated in the session.
Deputy Commissioner Chaudhary instructed Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars to maintain a vigilant stance on current affairs within their jurisdictions, emphasizing prompt responses to incidents and real-time reporting. SDMs and Tehsildars were directed to conduct regular field visits and submit tour diaries.
Specifically, Tehsildar Ramban received directives to ensure the proper functioning of the Naib Tehsildar Office at its designated location in Panchayat Dhandrath. Addressing Revenue Court Cases, DC Chaudhary urged officers to expedite case disposal to resolve issues affecting the public. He emphasized the use of the RCCMS portal by Naib Tehsildars for handling court cases.
Reviewing the progress on digitized Jamabandi and Cadastral map quality checks, DC Chaudhary urged officers to accelerate the pace. The issuance of Land Passbooks to landowners was emphasized, with a focus on facilitating people to benefit from online services provided by the Revenue Department.
The DC, taking stock of encroachments on State land, Kahcharai, and Common land, directed Tehsildars to reclaim encroached land and compile data for formulating a land bank. A report on state land alongside NH-44 from Nashri to Banihal was also asked to be submitted.
To streamline revenue-related processes, DC Chaudhary instructed officers to maintain both physical and digital records, ensuring timely submission of revenue reports. Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars were directed to organize Revenue camps for on-the-spot checks of Girdawari, attestation of inheritance, and other mutations. Compliance with summonses issued by Revenue courts was also emphasized.
