DC Ramban discusses requisition of land for Traffic Police on National Highway
RAMBAN, September 04: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today chaired a joint meeting of Revenue, NHAI and Traffic Police to address different issues related to land requisition for the traffic police along the national highway.
The meeting was attended by the SSP, Traffic, Rohit Baksotra; ACR, Giasul Haq; representatives of NHAI, Tehsildar Hqr, Tehsildar Ramban, and other concerned officers. SDM Ramsoo and SDM Banihal joined through virtual mode.
The meeting was held to ensure coordination between the Traffic Police and revenue department and to resolve minor issues. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of coordination among the officers to achieve maximum results.
The joint verification of land by Revenue, NHAI and traffic police authorities was also discussed, emphasizing the need for accurate and transparent processes.
The meeting also discussed the need of land for traffic police for establishment of booths for helpline desks to reach out the public during emergencies on National Highway and holding areas for traffic machinery.
Regarding allotment of land, the revenue officers and NHAI were directed to complete the process at the earliest.
The meeting was highly productive, with both NHAI and traffic police collaborating to find solutions to the issues related to traffic management during landslides and other climatic issues.
