DC Ramban distributes over Rs 20 Lakh among JKBOCWWB beneficiaries 

OCTOBER 31: On the occasion of JK UT Foundation Day, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam distributed over Rs. 20 Lakh among the registered workers under different schemes of Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB) here today.

Additional District Development Commissioner,  Rajinder Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma, Assistant Labour Commissioner,  Dr Sushant Mahajan besides other officers were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner acknowledged the efforts of the Board to make construction Workers financially empowered, for which it is meant.

The DC, while interacting with the construction workers and labourers, advised them to avail maximum benefits from different government schemes meant for their welfare.

He said that the Labour Department and JK Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB) are working in tandem for the welfare of the labour class- the backbone of the development.

Earlier, ALC, Dr Sushant Mahajan, welcomed the guest and the participants. He also apprised the audience about different schemes of the labour department.

He urged the workers to register themselves with ALC office online on www.jkbocw.gov.in to get the benefits under J&K Building and other construction Workers Welfare Act and renew their existing labour cards which are already due.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner distributed Rs 21.57 lakh to 428 registered construction workers under BOC for education assistance.
