DC Ramban finalizes R-Day arrangements
RAMBAN, JANUARY 18: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today finalized arrangements for the celebration of 75th Republic Day here at a meeting attended by the senior civil and Police officers.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Sharma, ADDC, Rajinder Sharma, PO, ICDS, Jahangir Hashmi, ADC, Harbans Lal Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrates and other senior officers attended the meeting.
Reiterating the importance of the National Event, the Deputy Commissioner said that Republic Day will be celebrated at Sub Divisional, Tehsil, Panchayat, institution and school levels. He directed the district heads of all the departments to hoist National Flag and illuminate the building of their respective offices and other Government buildings, besides ensuring maximum public participation to make National function more attractive and joyful.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure maximum public participation in Republic Day celebrations across the district. He said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra which was started on November 28 in the district with an aim to saturate all Centrally Sponsored Schemes to be culminated on January 26, 2024.
Reviewing the arrangements made by the different departments pertaining to their respective departments, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure their presence at the Republic Day function at District Headquarters, besides directing their subordinate officers and officials to attend national functions at their respective jurisdictions.
It was confirmed that district-level function shall be organized at District Police Lines Ground, where the National Flag will be unfurled by the Chief Guest followed by a march past by the contingents.
The DC also directed all concerned officers to ensure foolproof arrangements regarding seating, barricading, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, fire services, security, transport, traffic regulations, illumination of government buildings and other necessary arrangements for the National festival.
On the occasion, security and traffic management-related arrangements were also reviewed.
