DC Ramban inspects JJM schemes at Panchayat Neera
Participates in plantation drive, interacts with youth
RAMBAN, August 10: To intensify the activities under ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission Fortnight (JJM), Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today visited panchayat Neera to take stock of ground status of Water supply schemes.
The DC also participated in plantation drives held under Vasudha Vandan in the panchayat.
Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Rajeev Gai, AEE Rocky Mahajan, PRIs and locals were present on the occasion.
The DC said with the functioning of JJM schemes all the issues pertaining to water supply will be resolved in Neera panchayat till December 2023.
The DC said that various schemes are under execution at different levels in all three Jal Shakti Sub-divisions including Gool and Banihal which will resolve the issues of water supply in the district soon.
The DC said that Ramban district is currently celebrating JJM Fortnight with the aim of raising awareness about the Jal Jeevan Mission Programme. The District Administration has deputed senior officers to review ground status of Jal Jeevan Missions schemes in all 143 panchayats of the district.
Extending his gratitude to PRIs for their cooperation in development of the panchayats besides taking part in JJM fortnight, the DC asked them to join hands with the Jal Shakti team to achieve the targets of FHTC for successfully and timely implementing all water supply schemes.
Interacting with the local Youth, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged them to start their business units under different job oriented schemes of various sectors besides availing the benefits from the schemes.
