The Baghliar Dam, located on the Chenab River, is known for its hydroelectric power generation capacity. However, the authorities have recently increased the spillway discharge due to the changing water inflow conditions.
In light of the heightened water release, the DC has taken this preventive step to ensure the safety of the public.
The advisory aims to minimize any potential risks or mishaps near the riverbanks, where the force of water flow could pose a threat to people’s lives and properties.
