DC Ramban launches ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ across district
RAMBAN, AUGUST 01: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today launched Swachhta Pakhwada, a fortnightly sanitation and plantation drive which has various activities including administering the Swachhta pledge, planting saplings, leading a cleanliness drive and rally from the DC office complex. This initiative aims to inspire a cleaner and greener Ramban.
Deputy Commissioner launched a massive planting drive under the theme “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada. This drive serves as a tribute to martyrs and mothers through the planting of trees.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stated, “Let us join hands to create a cleaner, greener, and healthier Ramban. Cleanliness is a collective responsibility. Let us work together to make Ramban a model of sanitation and hygiene. By planting trees, we are not only contributing to a greener environment but also paying tribute to our martyrs and mothers”.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for collective efforts to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in public places and to protect the environment.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from senior officers, including ADDC Roshan Lal, SDM, Gool, Pawan Goswami, GM DIC, Ravinder Anand, CPO, Shakeeb Ahmed, ACD, Shrinath Suman, ACP, Ashfaq Ahmed, DIO, Ashraf Wani, Tehsildar, Deep Kumar, DSWO, Rahul Gupta, NGOs, people from various sections of society, including students, government officials, and local residents, all committed to the cause of cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
Similar activities were also reported from SDM offices in Gool, Banihal, Ramsoo, Tehsil offices, colleges, and schools, where a huge number of officials, public volunteers, and students participated in cleanliness drives and planted saplings.
The initiative aims to promote sanitation, cleanliness, and environmental awareness across the district.
