DC Ramban launches week long Bhrashtachar Mukat J&K campaign
RAMBAN, September 04: To eliminate corruption and promote transparent governance, the District Administration Ramban today launched the Week Long Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K campaign across the district.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam, visited Maitra Panchayat to preside over the awareness programme under Bhrashtachar Mukat J&K campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner urged the people to support the campaign against corruption. He said the district administration Ramban has formulated a vibrant activity plan for the week-long Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K campaign.
He directed the concerned officers to organise activities at the panchayat levels to spread mass awareness about the significance of corruption free governance. He also directed to raise awareness about IT-related initiatives, such as the “Empowerment-Janbhagidari Portal.” This portal plays a pivotal role in establishing a transparent system of governance. Simultaneously, the “Digital Week” will be celebrated, highlighting the significance of digital initiatives in government processes.
The DC informed that the week-long campaign will witness a series of awareness events across the district with a focus on the promotion of transparent and accountable governance.
This initiative also stresses the importance of promptly addressing corruption-related grievances and complaints. All complaints received during the week will be given top priority, with clear timelines provided for resolution.
In addition to these efforts, educational institutions will participate by organizing competitions and activities like quiz and debate competitions, plays and more aiming to raise awareness about corruption-free governance.
The “Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week” promises a significant step towards a more transparent and corruption-free administration in Ramban District.
Meanwhile, the Revenue Department organized camps in all eight Tehsils in district Ramban for disposal of complaints and to address other revenue related issues.
An awareness program was organized in Government Polytechnic College Chanderkote and ITI Ramban. Other departments also organised the awareness camps to educate the people not only to save themselves from corruption but also to prevent it from spreading in the society.
