DC Ramban reviews arrangements at 143 panchayats, 3 municipalities for “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign
66 Amrit Sarovar ready to host events
RAMBAN, August 01: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today reviewed activity wise preparedness for the execution of the plan finalized by the district administration for “Meri Maati Mera Desh” – the nationwide campaign being held under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma; Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal; ACD, Ashok Singh Katoch, DPO, CHO and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Discussing the arrangements, the DC directed ACD and EOs of municipalities to erect memorial plaques in all Panchayats and identified locations in MCs as per guidelines. He informed that National Flag will be hoisted around the Amrit Sarovars in 66 Panchayats as well as identified locations in other panchayats of the district besides organizing different events.
The DC directed all the stakeholders to promote the main idea of the programme “Mitti Ko Naman” and “Veeron Ka Vandan” and encourage public participation to ensure Janbhagidari. Local veers (heroes) shall be felicitated to acknowledge their contribution towards the country. The families of the freedom fighters will also be felicitated as per local custom and tradition, he added.
The DC emphasized the need to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in a grand manner while ensuring the safety of all participants. Participants will be asked to upload Individual Selfie on Campaign Website, “https://yuva.gov.in/meri_maati_mera_desh” and Digital Certificate with social share prompt to be generated.
In addition, 75 indigenous saplings will be planted at each event across 143 panchayats to promote environmental conservation, he added. In each program to be held at gram panchayat the national flag would be hoisted and people would sing the Rashtra Gaan.
