DC Ramban reviews arrangements for Independence Day celebrations

RAMBAN, JULY 25: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today discussed the arrangements of Independence Day celebrations during a meeting held in the Conference Hall.


Senior civil and police officers, including Senior Superintendent of Police Anuj Kumar, ADDC Roshan Lal, ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, PO ICDS Jahangir Hashmi, ACR Harpal Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrates, ACD Ramban, and ACP Ramban besides other district officers were present.


The DC emphasized the significance of Independence Day and announced that the district-level function will be held at District Police Lines Ground, where the National Flag will be hoisted by the Chief Guest, followed by a march past by various contingents. The celebrations will be held at Sub Divisional, Tehsil, Panchayat, institution, School, and Anganwadi levels.


He outlined the celebration plan, including the main function and various cultural and sports events, and plantation drives to be organized across the district up to August 15.


The Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to ensure thorough arrangements for seating, barricading, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, fire services, security, transport, traffic regulations and illumination of government buildings. Security and traffic management plans were also reviewed.


The DC directed officers to ensure their presence at the Independence Day function at the District Headquarters and instructed their subordinates to attend national functions in their respective jurisdictions. District heads were directed to hoist the National Flag and illuminate their respective offices and other government buildings.


The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of maximum public participation to make the celebrations more vibrant and patriotic.


Meanwhile, SSP briefed the meeting about some important points to make Independence Day Celebration, a safe, secure and grand successful event.
