DC Ramban reviews progress of Revenue Department; urges to follow timelines; ensure structures come up with proper permission only

RAMBAN, JUNE 13: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary chaired a meeting of key Officials of the revenue department to review their performance under various priority indicators.


Reviewing the services to be provided under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA), the Deputy Commissioner has asked all the officers to stick to the timeline envisaged in the Act.


SDMs and Tehsildars have been entrusted with inspection of Educational and other institutions in their respective jurisdictions to ensure efficient and robust public services delivery. DC has urged the officers to ensure that the construction of Private or Commercial structures in their respective jurisdictions must obtain prior permission from the competent authorities.


The Tehsildars have been instructed to retrieve the land from big land grabbers on priority.


Threadbare discussion was also held on other key indicators which includes; Implementation of online services; Details of Revenue Court cases; Security and facilitation of Local Yatras; Market Checking ahead of Eid festival; Eid Day arrangements; etc.


DC directed all the Revenue Officers to remain available/ accessible to the public in office, on telephone/ Mobile and through Wattsapp for better and timely service delivery.


Deputy Commissioner directed the Tehsildars to ensure that all the basic amenities are made available in coordination with the concerned line departments to avoid inconvenience to the people.


The meeting was attended by ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACR S Harpal Singh, SDMs, Tehsildars and other concerned officials.
