DC Ramban reviews public health facilities for sterilisation services
RAMBAN, March 24: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam chaired a meeting with concerned officers regarding female and male sterilisation services in his office today.
The objective of the meeting was to review the specific requirements and facilities for public health currently available at District Hospital Ramban and to assess the quality for improvement of health standards through service provision, patient rights, inputs, support services, clinical care, infection control, quality management and outcome.
Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers to follow standard operating protocols and processes for maintaining quality at public health centres. The compensation for any death or complications resulting from the sterilisation procedure as per guidelines was also discussed.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Kamal Zadu; Medical Superintendent, Dr Mohammad Rafi; Deputy CMO, Dr Suresh Kumar and other senior officers from the health department.
It has been decided that the District Quality Assurance Committee (DQAC) for sterilisation services will meet once in a quarter and submit a report to the state quality assurance committee regarding any death or complications/hospitalisation.
