DC Ramban takes appraisal of Developmental Schemes, Meets Public at Banihal

RAMBAN, JULY 12: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, visited Banihal today to review the progress of various developmental schemes and to address public grievances.


During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the implementation of the ICDS, Jal Shakti, JPDCL, Health, and the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the area. He evaluated the achievements and challenges faced by these departments.


In reviewing the HADP, the Deputy Commissioner directed all stakeholder departments to maximize outreach during the weekly Kissan Sampark Abhiyan, Phase-III meetings across all blocks, ensuring comprehensive KCC coverage. He also instructed the local administration to support efforts to achieve targets under the Kissan Sampark Abhiyan.


Further, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments to extend the benefits of all their schemes to farmers, ensuring full coverage of Soil Health Cards and KCC in the district.


While evaluating the progress under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Deputy Commissioner set a target for the completion of all sanctioned water supply schemes. He instructed the Executive Engineer of JPDCL to ensure a reliable power supply and avoid unscheduled power curtailments for public convenience.


Regarding the Health Department, the Deputy Commissioner directed the CMO to ensure all health institutions function properly and to monitor the performance of field staff.


Later, the Deputy Commissioner held a public darbar, listening to the grievances of the people and resolving most of the issues on the spot by instructing the concerned officers. He assured the public that the administration is committed to addressing their concerns and ensuring the effective implementation of developmental schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by PO ICDS Jahangir Hashmi, SDM Banihal Rizwan Asgar, and senior officers from the concerned departments.
