DC Ramban urges public to report overcharging/overloading by transporters

The Deputy Commissioner of Ramban has taken a proactive step to tackle concerns related to overcharging and overloading by public transporters. Through the official Twitter account, an advisory was issued, urging individuals to register complaints with the appropriate authorities.

This move follows a reported incident of overcharging, allegedly accompanied by physical assault on a passenger by a vehicle driver. The advisory encourages people to report instances of overcharging or overloading by public transporters to the relevant Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), Tehsildars, and the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) in Ramban.
