DC Reasi chairs Block Diwas at Panchayat Arli Hansali in Katra
REASI, September 13: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today chaired a public outreach programme at Arli Hansali in Block Katra as part of the Weekly Block Diwas program.
She listened to the scores of public issues of local importance and provided on spot redressal of several grievances. DDC Member Katra Nirmala Devi also attended the Block Diwas.
The PRIs and general public of the area put forth their issues and demanded augmentation of road connectivity, redress of JPDCL issues, adequate building infrastructure for GMS Arli, healthcare facilities with the provision of an allopathic dispensary, redressal of Widow Pension issues pertaining to Social Welfare Department, tendering of ADF works, water supply issues, repair and remodelling of nallah from link to railway road up to Suketari nallah and other issues of local importance.
PRIs as well as the general public also hailed the efforts of district administration for coming to their Panchayat and bringing various initiatives of the Government at their doorstep. DDC member Nirmala Devi demanded focus on empowerment of the three tier panchayat institution and its role in development of the area. She stressed on PRIs to work in tandem with district administration to resolve the public grievances.
Sarpanch of Panchayat Arli Hansali, Mangal Singh presented a charter of works done by various departments for developing the panchayats on modern lines.
The DC, while addressing the various issues, laid focus on proper implementation of Central Sponsored Schemes and UT Capex budget works for larger benefits of the general public. She emphasized on prioritisation of NABARD projects, digital services in all departments, completion of ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission schemes in a timely manner, and harnessing the benefits of schemes for all stakeholders.
