DC Reasi finalizes arrangements for I-Day-2024 celebrations
REASI, AUGUST 06: In preparation for the upcoming Independence Day, 2024 celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan convened a pivotal meeting at the Auditorium of the DC Complex to finalize arrangements for the smooth execution of the national event throughout the district.
The meeting featured comprehensive discussions aimed at addressing the bottlenecks identified in the previous meeting, ensuring meticulous arrangements for the national function.
Key areas of focus included security, the march-past parade, seating arrangements, transportation, parking, electricity, refreshment, medical care, fire tender deployment, and sanitation measures.
As previously planned, the main Independence Day function will be held at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium in Reasi. The chief guest will unfurl the National Flag, followed by an inspection of the parade.
The DC also provided an in-depth appraisal of the arrangements for Independence Day celebratory functions at the subdivisions and Tehsils. He directed officers to ensure flawless arrangements for the smooth execution of the celebrations.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of illuminating all government and heritage buildings to add to the celebratory atmosphere.
DC also highlighted the significance of the Trianga Rally, scheduled for August 13th and urged maximum participation to showcase the community’s patriotic spirit.
