DC Reasi inaugurates Shrawan Mahotsav at Shiv Khori Ransoo
REASI, JULY 22: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan who also serves as the Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB), along with Surinder Jamwal, Member of SSKSB inaugurated the Shrawan Mahotsav at Shiv Khori Ransoo today.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, marked the beginning of the month-long festivities with great fervor and participation from a large number of devotees.
On the inaugural day, a Kawad Yatra commenced from Ransoo to the holy cave, witnessing a large number of devotees paying their respects at the sacred site.
As part of the celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Reasi also released two bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva, one from ARJ Production and another from Pawan Production. Additionally, a captivating performance of Shiv Leela was presented by the Jackson Dance Institute Jammu, adding more spiritual flavor to the event.
Speaking at the inauguration, Deputy Commissioner expressed his delight at the start of the Shrawan Mahotsav and highlighted the significance of such events in promoting spirituality among the community especially the youth for a better society.
He said Shrawan Mahotsav began with series of religious events throughout the auspicious month of Shrawan, catering to the spiritual enrichment of devotees and locals alike.
He extended gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for approving helipad and alternative track for the shrine. He further expressed his gratitude to the Chairman (Divisional Commissioner, Jammu) for leading the Shri Shivkhori Shrine Board and introduction of new religious services for the pilgrims. He reiterated that the heli service and the new services like Rudra Abhishek Pooja, Hawan and Bhog Arpan shall further make the pilgrims experience more fulfilling. The DC also launched new Prasad for the pilgrims.
