DC Reasi inspects polling stations

REASI, April 05: In view of the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls beginning on 5th April 2023, District Election Officer Babila Rakwal, Deputy District Election Officer, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer and other officers visited some polling stations in Reasi to check the presence of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) with copies of the draft Photo Electoral Rolls. During the visit, officers also visited Government High School in Gran Brotrian where BLOs were present with copies of the draft Photo Electoral Rolls and relevant forms.

The District Election Officer inspected proper arrangements at each polling booth and registration of new voters. She asked BLOs to ensure registration of all eligible persons as voters in their polling station areas and to ensure that no eligible person is left out.

The Sarpanch of the concerned Panchayat and other citizens present were also urged to help in registering eligible persons as voters and carrying out other modifications in the draft Electoral Rolls to keep them healthy.
