DC Reasi reviews progress of Water Supply Scheme under JJM
REASI May 13: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today review the progress of water supply projects taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to provide each household the access to safe and adequate drinking water facilities.
At the outset, the DC took a detailed review of the physical and financial progress of works on Retrofitting and Augmentation of Water Supply Schemes (WSSs) being executed under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
While majority of the works have been completed under JJM, DC reviews the progress of remaining works of two WSS namely Bidda and Aghar Ballian.
The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Rakesh Kumar Gupta informed Retrofitting and Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme at Panchyat Bidda started at a cost of Rs 4.74crore would cover around 254 households, while Rs 9. 78 crore Retrofitting and Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme at Panchyat Aghar Ballian would provide tap water to 332 households.
The DC was apprised that pace of work on the twin projects is in full swing and more than 586 households would be provided safe and adequate drinking water.
