DC reviews arrangements for Army Recruitment Rally at Dugga- Doda
DODA, OCTOBER 30: In preparation for the Army Recruitment Rally, Deputy Commissioner Doda chaired a key meeting here in the Mini Conference Hall to review arrangements.
The meeting was attended by senior Army officers, ADC Bhaderwah, Executive Engineer (Xen) PHE, and other officials, who discussed the coordination and resources required for the event, which will run from November 8 to November 20, 2024. The rally, organized by a local Army battalion, will provide recruitment opportunities for youths from Reasi, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Ramban, and Doda for the positions of Soldier General Duty, Soldier Clerk, and Tradesmen.
A large turnout is anticipated as the aspirants from across Jammu & Kashmir are expected to participate. Officials reviewed logistical support, security measures, and infrastructure needs essential to handle the influx of candidates efficiently.
A significant concern addressed during the meeting was the overlap between the rally site and the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Dugga, situated adjacent to the event area. Since the access road to the school coincides with the recruitment route, it was suggested that the school remain closed during the rally or that alternate arrangements be made to prevent disruptions.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all necessary facilities, including medical, security, and transportation support, would be in place to ensure the rally’s success. He emphasized the need for strong inter-departmental coordination to maintain smooth operations throughout the event.
Officials expressed their commitment to supporting the rally, which is expected to provide significant opportunities for the region’s youth while maintaining public safety and efficiency.
