DC reviews Essential Services supplies, Snow Clearance Operations in Subdivision Ramsoo
RAMBAN, JANUARY 17: As part of his two-day extensive visit to the snow-bound areas of Ukhral and Ramsoo Tehsils, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, on Friday monitored snow clearance and road connectivity restoration operations at Neel Top and adjoining areas. He also chaired a review meeting at Ramsoo to assess the status of essential services.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; SDM Ramsoo Ghansham Basotra; GM DIC Ravinder Anand; Tehsildar Nasir Javed; AD FCS&CA Niamatullah Sheikh and Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY, JPDCL and Jal Shakti, among other senior officers.
During the visit, the DC interacted with locals to address their concerns and assessed the status of essential services. He reviewed health facilities, focusing on the transportation and care provided to expecting mothers for institutional and safe deliveries.
The DC also evaluated the stocking and distribution of three month advance ration stocked in snow-bound areas and directed the AD FCS&CA to ensure its timely supply. He emphasized the importance of BPL ration card verification and the transparent conduct of a baseline survey under Mission YUVA.
Addressing water supply concerns, the DC instructed the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti to resolve all issues to ensure uninterrupted services to the households. He also directed the SDM Ramsoo to prioritize resolving revenue-related matters and ensure compliance with the Public Service Guarantee Act and review the progress of baseline survey under mission YUVA.
Reviewing power supply, the DC instructed the Executive Engineer JPDCL to ensure uninterrupted electricity to PHCs and other health institutions. He emphasized the need for power backup facilities in PHCs and asked the CMO and Executive Engineer to coordinate and submit a detailed report for seamless health service delivery.
The visit highlights the administration’s commitment to promptly addressing public grievances and ensuring efficient service delivery in remote and snow-affected areas of the district.
